Just Jumpin' jump rope team just returned from the USA Jump Rope National Championship, in Galveston, Texas.

12 members of our team participated in multiple competitions:

• Freestyle Events—Singles, Single Rope Pairs, Double Dutch Single and Double Dutch Pairs
• Speed Events—1 min, 3 min, Single Rope Speed Relay, Double Dutch Relay and Double Dutch Pairs

The following jumpers placed national:

• Daniel Mickelson—10 and under male age division, placed 8th in 1 minute Speed with 254 jumps
• Eric Mickelson—13-14 male age division, placed 2nd in 1 minute Speed with 324 jumps
• Kathryn Mickelson—15-17 female age division, placed 6th in her Single Freestyle event
• McKenzie Scott and Eric Mickelson—13-14 division, placed 4th in their Single Rope Pairs freestyle
• Eric Mickelson, Kathryn Mickelson, Sarah Mickelson—18 and over age division, placed 6th in their Double Dutch Single Freestyle

All team members worked very hard to compete at a national level. Nice job Just Jumpin'!

Just Jumpin' is the only competitive jump rope team in the state of Utah. They have been competing at the regional level for five years and have done quite well. Every year the jumpers have qualified for nationals and continue to be a strong force regionally.

For three years Just Jumpin' has competed at the national level. Each of those years they have placed in the top four of the nation in select categories and have qualified for grand natioals. The team is constantly improving their national presence in the sport of jump rope.
